...is crap. Shiny crap with glossy photos, true, but crap nevertheless.

Huh? That is to canon what Clinton's testimony was to truth. It's not even what happened in the show - they at least managed to get the idea that the Controllers were, um, controlled by the Yeerks, not made into "mindless automatons". And "hundreds of years"? Try more like fifty. "Another galaxy"? I believe the word you're looking for is "solar system" - TheAndaliteChronicles makes numerous mentions of Earth being across "the galaxy", not "the universe". Is the difference too complicated for you to understand? It's all right, we understand - but you should have let some eleven-year-old fan write the introduction, then. Maybe it would have even been grammatically correct.
GAH. I meant to make this a reasonably polite summary, but the sheer stupidity (incompetence!) of the book drives me crazy.
Okay, to be fair, a reasonably unbiased summary:
Meet the Stars of Animorphs is a book about the Animorphs television show, which is affectionately - or not so affectionately - referred to as "AniTV" in the fandom. It contains biographies of most of the actors who played the roles of the Animorphs on AniTV, as well as longish interviews about their characters, lives, hobbies, fears, &c.. Some of the contents of the interviews apparently refer to different books than I read, as claims like "Cassie is really spiritual" appear within. But whatever. Also, from this book, we can conclude that poor Ax isn't really an Animorph - the actor doesn't even show up in the cast photos.
